Fred Crowder, 84, Perrysville, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois.
  Born December 13, 1899 in Stringtown, he was the son of Manford and Estel Wilkins Crowder. On September 2, 1920 he married Pearl Setser, who died March 4, 1973. A life long resident of the Perrysville area, he retired from farming in 1963. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Katharyn Williams of Perrysville; a son, Lewis A Crowder of Geneva; four brothers, Rex Crowder of Attica, Harold Crowder of Covington, and Sam Crowder of Dana; a sister, Mrs. Charles Clawson of Covington; six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Cadman, a son Howard, three brothers and a sister.

  Services were conducted Friday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. William Rudd officiating. Burial was in Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. -s-
